Hello all,

I'm proud to have just become the owner of a 1967 Dodge Monaco. It'a 4-door hard top with the 383 2bbl engine.

I'd like it to be a nearly-daily-driver, so I want to add some basic safety equipment: shoulder belts and (if possible) head rests. Does anyone have experience installing these items? Could you recommend specific parts or provide tips on the installation?

The car hasn't arrived yet, but pics will come as soon as the car does!

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
i am not 100% sure about C-body bench seats and the availability of headrests in 67 but I'm guessing they were optional equipment. This means the likelihood is there that all of the bench seat frames could accommodate headrests in which case I'd start out with a place called "Just Headrests" and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks! I had kind of thought you were kidding that there's a place that does "just headrests," but lo and behold, there they are! And they're Mopar specialists, to boot. If I end up going with them, I'll let you know how it works out.

We don't kid around here...

Toto, I don't think we're in Berlin anymore...

(My previous "classic" car was a 1989 Mercedes 300SE--the big one back in the day. Compared to a '67 Monaco, that was obviously a whole other ball of wax. The Benz was a gorgeous, gorgeous car, but very complex and always plagued by mysterious and/or expensive problems. Needless to say, there's no such thing as a Mercedes headrest specialist. Hoping for a more enjoyable experience this time around!)

We'll need to see some pics...

Here's the only pic I have so far. I think it will be about a week or so until I pick up the car... should've taken more pics when I went to see it!

Doesn't look familiar to me but its a great looking car and I do look forward to seeing more of it.

That is a beautiful car. Love the color! Looking forward to more pictures!!

Seems like the Turbine Bronze cars, no matter what model they were on, were taken better care of.

Thats because those that ordered them were car people. Green car buyers were generic
