Another orphan found our driveway...

Nice truck! Restoring our 72 D100 was by far the easiest resto due to the excellent aftermarket support for trucks. I'm obviously late to the show regarding the Cordoba...you sold it?

Thanks! Thats what I'm hoping for. LMC seems to have everything we need, if not elsewhere.

I found my old Newport a month ago, and bought it back. Shes in sad shape, had to save her lol. Heres the thread on her-

A glutton for punishment

Sold the Cordoba a couple weeks back to a local guy off craigslist, to make room for the Newport. I just E signed the papers yesterday. Newport should be picked up tomorrow, and here by thursday (fingers crossed). The last shipping broker turned into a nightmare (long story).

Sabrina (my girlfriend) traded in her old jeep, and bought this rig. I get the fun stuff, while she gets to drive it haha.

Heres how our driveway has looked this past week. Was worse when up on stands getting the tires haha.

If I can track down the brake lights today, and the t stat housing comes in, I might drive it to work tomorrow for shits and giggles.

That is a beast of a truck, I would swap out the rear bumper a put on a receiver style hitch for towing. Looking forward to more updates.

It may appear that way to me because the tread on the original tires was much closer to the section width.

They do fill out the wheel wells a bit more. Deff a little fatter.

Tire shop told me the wheels are tubed wheels. If we get a flat, these are gonna come off the bead. Never dealt with tube tires before. Hopefully no flats lol

We have success today. I made it to work, and back home. In bumper to bumper traffic most the way too! No over heating, and great oil pressure.

Couple gremlins showed up. She developed a small exhaust leak on the driver side this morning. Also have a sound coming from the front drivers suspension/wheel.

Needed to tighten the hose clamps up a bit on the lower rad hose after a little dribble.

Only one that has me a little worried, is the rear main seal has a leak.. Sitting here watching it drip a little puddle out after just getting home. I really don't wanna pull the trans lol.

Back in town for the weekend, and a few days. Got some more goodies done on this old girl. I dropped her off at the local shop for new U joints, and a trans service (really didn't feel like messing with her while home.. HA!)

They neglected to tell me the rear driveshaft was bent, and installed new joints anywhase. Nice!

Back home I got a new brake booster installed. I pinched a wire running from the ballast to the coil behind the booster. Found out someone completely disconnected all the OEM electronic ignition stuff, and installed a points distributor in her. WTH??!!

Got her back up and running with a jumper wire. Gonna order a new electronic ignition kit from summit to replace all the old wiring, and what not.

My buddy I bought the truck from gave me a leed on a guy with a bunch of dodge truck parts a few towns over. I headed over there with sabrina sunday.

We pulled up to the place, and he had around 10 old dodges up front by his shop. I was thinking "oh this is cool... But I expected a lot more after my friend talking him up".

Told the guy we need a driveshaft, and he says theres a truck around back that should have one. I head out back and theres about 10 more tucks in serious disrepair. Oh ok cool... But the driveshaft was too small.

He then tells me jump in my truck and follow him down the road. HOLY S#IT!!!!! I kid you not. There was atleast 15 acres of woods, and field slap full of first gen dodge trucks! Everywhere!! I was ecstatic!

In the middle of the property was an old run down farm house. Inside was full of all the good parts everyone is usually looking for/extra stuff. I'd tell him what we need, he'd disappear for a min, and come back with a part lol.

I gotta couple pics, but they do no justice. I was in to much shock lol. The pics are of just around the old farm house.

We got a few things including a driveshaft, and will be going back with a trailer in a few weeks. A buddy up north needs stuff for his 79 warlock. So I'll he loading up for us both lol.

Got the driveshaft installed last night. Man the truck is really driving good now!

Another pic, and our take for the day. Forgot to mention the guy is 24 years old! Said he bought his first parts truck at 12, and it started from there. He has a part time job up in town, but this is his main thing. I was pretty impressed. Everything there was done on his own.

Hes about 24 miles away from jerry's mopar yard in starke.

Did you find a new wheel, or should I still leave mine on the back step?

Son of a... I knew I was forgetting something! lol Nope keep her on the back step. Maybe next weekend lol

Surprisingly he said he really didn't have any 1 ton specific stuff. Would those wheels be 1 ton only, or all models?

Better check that back step I have a thing for loose wheels....or is that Lucille

If only! Nothing personal, but don't believe I would be as inclined to share it haha.

Seriously though. Its getting worse. Derby guys on facebook are really hunting them down!

Nice score!!! Have you checked out FTO? Some of the guy's from here are on the site.
For Trucks Only

I went on there years ago. It was pretty dead.. Maybe things have changed? I'll have to go peek on there.

I prefer here. The best group of people are here. I don't hardly go on the bluesmobile board anymore. That place used to be rockin!

I can be a little slow, some great projects but some guy's are slow on updating them. Maybe I just got too spoiled here with project's like Critters and your Monaco. There are a great group of guy's here.
