1969 440 HP # matching date code correct. It has a different profile cam which aided in drivability and performance. Ignition is upgraded to electronic ignition via OEM Chrysler performance retro fit kit.

521 CI RB, TF 240 heads opened to MW, 370 cfm@700, 11.25 CR, 337 ported intake, 268/272 at 50 roller cam, BAM lifters, 2" Doug's D452 headers, CZ vacuum pump, 1050 Dominator, Air cleaner lid flipped over.

That's an awesome build! 700-ish hp?

I eventually want to do a stroker kit and TF's on mine as well. How well do the Doug's headers fit? Any clearancing required? The C body TTI's look like they are only 1 7/8" with a 3" collector, those D452's look like the hot ticket.
 
440 4 Bbl in my 74' New Yorker. 440 Six Pack in my 70' Charger R/T S.E, 528" Hemi with 2 kits in my 70" Challenger. Built 383 with 2 stage plate system in my 70' Roached Runner. And a few others, a 440 w/ FAST EFI for my other 70' Charger 500 S.E. and another 383 and all aluminum Keith Black Hemi for future builds.

Is this a different engine combo? Is it still a 4speed?
Hey! it's got a Passon 5 speed in it now. I had a pinhole in the oil pan, so the motor had to come out, decided to raise the CR and go roller while it was out. Was trying to keep the same dynamic CR with the new pistons so bumped the cam up. Going from 260/264 to 268/272 raised the minimum cruising RPMs from 1500 to 1800. Still running 90 octane non ethanol pump gas with 11.25:1, so that goal was reached. After helping a guy clean cam grindings out of his engine, I thought I'd bite the bullet and go roller, save that headache in the future.
 
Before and after. 440 abandoned for 40 years freshly rebuilt (and painted in a custom blue metallic color.)

Stock spec, Edelbrock 650 CFM AVS II, Rebuilt dizzy from Halifax Shops, new water pump, alternator, rebuilt steering pump, and a LOT of elbow grease cleaning up and painting the original brackets. Still need to put on my Cal Custom aluminum valve covers but waiting until I send them to get polished before they go on.

Here's my leaky pile from while I was installing the FiTech (don't). 242k on the clock and it will still happily drive a thousand miles in a day. I've been driving it since I was 16 and it has never left me on the side of the road.

Your vacuum advance is hooked up backwards to the wrong port SPECIALLY in the AZ heat.... And you'd see a HUGE improvement in driveability & power with a Holley based carb. That Weber/Edelbrock is not a good choice in the any warm climate as they barely hold any fuel so it's surely preheating the fuel....
Once you switch that vac adv to idle vacuum you'll be able to bump the timing up alot. As right now you have the vac adv stepping on top of the mechanical adv so your initial timing has to be way low....
 
Here’s my 440 + .030 = 446ci . Nothing special - did 450 HP and 530 torque (touched 500 at 2700 rpm’s). Ross pistons, polished rods, ARP bolts, Comp Cams XE268, ported 902 heads. I had to go back to a stock intake for air cleaner room. Holley Sniper, complete ignition system, and in-tank fuel pump . Complete TTI exhaust system w/ceramic coated headers.

Ok..I will bite..
Was a 2bbl 383 but on the outside looks like an H code 383HP.
But far from stock.
Comp 268H cam, block bored .40 over. Eddy intake and 750cfm carb.
Original 906 heads massaged, port matched and hardended valve seats
Arp rod bolts, crank main studs fitted.
Swapped out 22 inch rad core support for a 26 with shroud and a/c style water pump.
I built it to drive anywhere and a lot of members here got to see the Boab on her "world tour" prior to covid.
