Car Cover Recommendations

And we had another killer storm last evening (frequent in the summers). Sideways winds, branches and crap flying thru the air. I just went out and checked the car this morning; its bone dry. The cover doing its job.

Wow! I don't think we got a single raindrop in Carlisle last night.

Yes. That's were I got it from.

They are in California so they don't start working until noon EST.

I took into account that they are located in CA and their office hours are
Phone Sales:
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm PST

During the last three weeks I have tried to reach them on the phone several times. Just wondering if they are active, why no answer to phone calls, no answer to emails, no answer to questions via website, no update to Facebook or at their website to the customer reviews.... Just too many issues

Would had bought two of those Ironshield car covers. One for my Monaco and another one for my Challenger.

Will need to continue calling tomorrow

I couldn't get anyone to pick up phone until after noon EST.

FWIW, I bought a California Car Cover. "Noah" series.

Not cheap, but it seems to be high quality.

It got it's first test last week when it rained buckets for about a half hour or so. Checked it out after the rain subsided, and she was bone dry!

The real test will be how it holds up a year from now. Chicago weather is like Dobalovr's weather, blink and you'll miss two monsoons and 6" of snow.

It does fit very well, so that should help a lot. I did purchase the "gust guard" clips and so far they hold well.

FWIW the Covercraft I have does allow water through but it does breathe enough to dry out quickly but that said I think I would not go that route again. Your Noah looks good or an Iron Shield will be my next purchase.

According to CCC, their cover "breathes" as well, but when I went up her skirt, the Newport's dutchman was dry. IDK if you can tell from the photo, but the driveway is at an angle and the water tends to pool there and the trunk corners. The previous POS cover would leak like a sieve.

I will make sure to submit a full report after this upcoming winter...

It amazing how technology has improved in car cover quality manufacturing and performance!

I just use a cheap Budge cover to keep dust off the car thru the winter. But i it's parked in a garage with an old vinyl boat cover over the concrete. The car cover goes on in the fall, off in the spring. That's it.

good thing you only use it inside. if it smells rain that damn thing will leak on it's own.

Well my new Ironshield Cover is installed and waiting to be tested. Calling for rain sleet snow this week so we will see how it does. Getting down to low 40's high 30's here at night :(. Also had to make a hole for the power antenna which suffers from Commando's NYB's problem. (Permanent Viagra) Not interested in taking the fender liner apart to fix it this year.

I love mine... however! Word to the wise!!!!, be very careful when you remove it each time. I'm guessing it's just me, but, in July I was removing the cover to Go for spin, with the cover being so heavy, I didn't realize that it got hung up on a piece of molding, so like a dumbass I kept pulling and ripped a 4 foot long opening in the cover.. $200 shot to hell..

They warranty them too. I was able to get a new replacement for $100.

Here are my girls tucked in for winter. The '70 has the Ironshield the '66 has the Evolution 3. The Evo was $150 more so we shall see in the spring. The Evo allows moisture through so I'm curious to see how the Ironshield performs as it does not allow moisture through.
