Hi, can anyone tell me if a 65 fury 318/727 driveshaft is the same length as a 383/727 one. I don’t have the original one for my car but have one out of a 318 car I parted out. Does anyone know what the correct length should be? This one looks to be 54 1/4 inches from centre of uni to centre of uni.

Awesome mate, thank you for your reply. Regards Terry

It seems that in the parts manual at least’68. It listed the lengths for the different applications and models.

Be aware that a drive shaft that is to short will tear up the thrust bushing in the trans tail housing, As me how I know. A drive shaft, once fully inserted in the tail shaft should move back 1/2 to 3/4" to seat in the diff yoke.
