d/6...there are coding quirks for 1967. Have we confirmed the car does not have a heater?

Thanks nightman1. The trunk was painted, and the underside of the deck lid looks really good. Engine bay was painted black, which I touched up.

Thanks Clayboy and Ripinator. Great detective work! Everything you guys posted jives with the car except one thing:
the driver's outside mirror isn't remotely operated. Otherwise everything else is spot-on.

One oddity not mentioned is that this car has dual exhausts. Would there be a code for that? The car was re-painted in red at some point by the original owner I believe. It was a thorough job, very well done, but the 2nd owner stored the car outside on the street, which took it's toll on the paint. Still, it's presentable.

I would go with Galen’s ”g6” which corresponded to the bumper moulding - or I believe lack of, vice the website g6 for remote mirror.

Glad to be of assistance. Although the red paint job is thorough and well done, I have always been partial to any shade of green Chrysler used for all their vehicles.

IRT dual exhaust, are you certain they are original? Some giveaways are the look - to include how the exhaust dumps out the rear. My 64 polara still has its original dual exhaust and they have a down-turned dump and a crisp horizontal edge.

My Polara broadcast sheet did not have a spot for dual exhaust, however, mine was equipped with an HP 383, so you got dual exhaust as part of the engine.

For clarification, Galen’s reference mentioned rear options IRT the heater. He does not expand upon it, so I don’t know if I would conflate it with any front heater - unless there’s confirmation this is in fact a heater delete car - which would be interesting and potentially unique?

I think that heater delete code says delete REAR heater? My car has a heater, and it works great. The passenger side mirror is one I installed.

That page doesn't carve out an exception for 383 4-bbl. Just says 440's would have dual.

Yes, the dual exhaust seems odd with the 383 2bbl, but what would another explanation be? Maybe when the exhaust was replaced at some point, they decided to run off each manifold straight back instead of a crossover?

Yes. It was a single exhaust car. Someone changed it.

My info shows d6 to be a rear speaker. g6 is not a remote mirror, it's bumper reveal moldings, so a manual mirror is correct. 635 is 8.55-14 white wall steel belted tires, all 5 including the spare. FF1 is light green metallic paint both upper and lower. Being a Newport, it probably would have come with the 2823038, or 2823046 wheel covers. The last 3 digits of the part number will be on your build sheet.
