Update: I recently accidently ran across the kid on facebook. I was looking around there at pictures of 72 Chryslers, and looking close enough I saw that little dent again! I clicked on his profile and saw loads of pictures of my car! So I sent the kid a message, and this is what I got back along with many pictures.
I know the entire history on the car. It’s the one car I never should have sold. I’m 19, and I bought the car when I was 17 years old. The car belonged to one of my grandmothers friends. Her name was Margaret Crawford, she was never married and never had any kids. She used to go to my grandmas house to get her hair done. She bought the car brand new from Vizza Motors on Broad Avenue in Belle Vernon PA in 1972. She drove it until she was in her late 80s, and sold it to my grandparents neighbor Tom Delsignore, who drove it to Maryland and Ohio to his summer homes. He parked the car in roughly 1996, and it never moved again. Tom died, and all his family lived in Ohio. I’ve always heard stories about the car, and wanted to get my hands on it so badly. I got a hold of his family and bought the car as a barn find and totally put it back on the road by myself. That was the greatest car I’ve ever owned. So many memories. Went on dates in that car, went to prom in that car, car shows, I had the car in the Chrysler Nationals show in Carlisle PA where it was in a roped off exhibit all about original C Body mopars. I was even in the Netflix series called Mindhunter with the car. It was my daily driver for over a year, and she needed work light done and at the time I couldn’t afford to get it up to the way I wanted it so I sold her off. That’s such a beautiful car, with an amazing history, and I’m glad I saved it. The front bumper ding was most likely from Margaret bumping the corner of the garage or something. Please please please keep her original and as perfect as possible. That car meant the world to me. I’m so glad someone has it who will take care of it.
The car was still in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania (it's home town) when I bought it. The bonehead I got the car from scraped off the original dealer sticker just before I bought it because he thought it was "Unsightly." The kid even has a picture of the car when it just came home from the dealership in 1972 that he is going to mail to me!
