Had a little too much time on my hands so I took in a few jobs. Nothing too major though. Mostly just prep and paint work.

As long as you have the abilities and skills, go for it. Much better than sitting around and watching reruns of "Family Feud".

Enjoy!

Am I retired? Far from it! Am I doing what I would choose to do in my retirement? Pretty much which is a good thing because I will need to do it until I absolutely can’t anymore…

Also been working on this one. Not restoring, just fixing stuff so he can drive it the way it is. I put in a windshield and vent window, lined up the sheet metal, repaired the core support and some other stuff. It's an oddball car, 4 speed with A/C but manual steering and brakes.

If you enjoy doing it, it doesn't feel like work. I plan on doing something when I retire, God willing, in 5 or 6 years just to keep the mind and body active. There is a good chance it would be automotive related or maintenance at a local ice rink where I would drive the Zamboni and get to skate and use the gym for free.

You can't. There was a line 12 years ago. If Chris starts doing this I gotta buy the Rose Bowl car back and send it to Arizona with 50 grand.

When can I book in my Imperial ? LOL! Seriously, good for you!

And I was right behind Dave. So, my 67 Newport went to Australia. And yes, I'd pay to bring it back if Chris opened up shop again.

Well to make it perfectly clear while I am back open for business I'm "Cherry Picking" my jobs. No more major restorations or fixing nasty old rust buckets. My tired old body just can't take it anymore. I've been working about 4 hours a day 3 or 4 days a week and that's plenty. I don't want to burn myself out again. Plus the heat here has been BRUTAL this summer. Todays hours were 5 am until 9 am. :D
