Yes...that pole gets a new flag every year...the wind off the lake is pretty strong...however the US flag...maybe torn and weathered...forever strong.

I believe the wind to be strong by your lake, Current pic shows the flag in unserviceable condition (wind torn). Please display it not only proudly, but with respect, as I know you are.

Either take it down at sunset every night or it must be illuminated from dusk to dawn.

"§ 6. Time and occasions for display
(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flag staffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness."
 
My flag at the cabin is presently down...actually been down the whole year mostly from my procrastination to replace it...my photo was from years ago...thanks for the correct instructions for future display.
