Well I just put the girls to bed for the winter . October's coming and so is the snow up here in the Great White North. I thought it would be interesting for those of us who park our babies for the season to post a highlight picture and a tucked in for winter picture. I'll start with Ruby('66) and Scorch ('70) last day of Summer.....

Things are pretty much done for the season. Cruises and shows are all over. I'm going to try to get a couple more drives in, but I'm not counting on it.

The car will go up on jack stands in a couple weeks and I'll start down my winter to-do list. Changing the rear wheel bearings, fixing the trans leak, new heater blower and changing the power antenna are this winter's priorities.

The best cruising season here is just beginning. We'll be leaf peeping in the convertibles for the next couple months now. Trips to the beach. (this time of year the "coast is clear" ........ few tourists).

There is a cruise this Saturday in my area and the next weekend. Also Mopar madness at Lebanon Valley Dragway on Oct 8th. I love this time of year as the engines love that cool crisp dense air. I figure we have a good month left till the poop hits the air mover. Then comes the battle with preventing rodent squatters.

No I can't make it as I am donating my time with a local club cruise in Pittsfield MA the same day. I am new to the club here and thought it was important to help out anyway I can. It's at the airport and should be a nice time. I would love to go to both but can't obviously.

It is hosted by the Piston Poppers club. They told me it is the second oldest hot rod club in the country. Nice bunch of guys. It is at the Pittsfield Airport [where they used to drag race there in the late 50's and early 60's]
