I like the "Canadian Measurement" idea though, it's one I'd never thought of and it does sound fun. Metric is just uninteresting.

update...I was able to drive the Newport yesterday!!!

Albeit it was only up and down the block a few times, but I gotta take my opportunities when I can, right?? lol and I left a little patch in front of my house. ok ok, more like a good, loud bark, but who's counting?? :p

and I did not take it any farther than around my block cuz at that point 1) there was no glass in the front or back 2) there was no seat 3) I need to bed the brakes 4) i dont know how much gas is in it....

Soooooo my buddy Craig came by yesterday and put the new vinyl top on and today we put the glass in.

Here is the {semi} finished project. I say semi-finished because it was not real hot yesterday (65* and sunny) and not all of the glue tacked enough-mainly the edges. We re-did a couple of spots today in the morning, but again, not real hot (67* and sunny) so there are still a few spots that need just a bit of fen-angling.

The trim in the back also needs a spot of work and I need to clean the entire top, but all-in-all, I am SUPER happy with the result...:D

Looks awesome sir! Please tell me you have a step by step video of installing the glass!

Mine isn't pretty like that, but I shuffled stuff around to have the hardtop accessible for the winter. Started fairly easily after a year, with a decent battery.

Well my season has likely come to an end as of today. I can't say I wasn't a little sad while I washed the Imp and thought about 6,625 more reasons that I love this car so much. Oh yeah, got one more ride with the top down today too, it was 70 and sunny here today so I went and picked up my dad and let him take us for a spin.:)

Nah... let him enjoy her the way he wants to. Besides, burnouts are only really cool before you discover women.
