Maybe a dumb question but I'm kinda new to all this how do I wire up this hei? I k ow the two wire go to coil bit after that kinda lost.

How about a picture of the distributor you are going to use?
IF you are using a GM-style "HEI" distributor, all that takes is a direct 12V lead to make it work. Coil is on top of the cap and all of the things that make it work are internal, rather than external. ONE wire to the power lead. The other lead is for a Tach.
IF the "HEI" you are using is not the large-cap GM HEI distributor, there should be some instructions with the unit. Hopefully.

Not to be a smart ***, but why exactly are you going through all this when the mopar system is tried and true? They were designed for your car, Simple to work on, cheap to fix and very rarely let you down.
Aside from a ballast resistor here or there, they are bullet proof.
These after market systems can be problematical to say the least.
