Murray B. Park Private tour

The 66 conv intrigued me as well, my best guess is a 180 degree spin into a power pole. Alot of velocity there. I'm sure it's an interesting story.

Any guesses as to what could have hit the '66 convertible? whatever it was had to be very pointy..
The driver may have been going too fast, spun out, and smashed into a pole. It is amazing how damaged it is.

Thank you for posting those pics. His operation is much larger than imagined.
He has a full time job and does his parts business on the side? He sure has a lot invested in buildings and inventory.

He had a fulltime job but is now retired to deal with his stuff fulltime. So that maybe helps with the complains that he doesn't react on requests. (What I can't confirm)

Well, now I know where I want my ashes to be scattered when I die... If Murray's does not exist any more then, you may throw my remains where ever you like, lol.

So, he has at least TWO fusie style Imperial limousines! There can't be many left...

Thanks for the pics.....
The 300 hurst doesn,t look that bad and i see a 65 300 4-spd , is that a coupe

Thanks for posting all the pics. That place is amazing!
I knew he was the "go-to" C Body parts expert, but never had any idea of how many treasures were at that place.

All I can say is that this post is a big relief for me. I thought I was nuts (and I don't deny that I am) but what Murray has makes me feel normal again, at least for a little while. Thank you Murray for being there! Murray always comes through for me over the years, but sometimes he needs a reminder after a reasonable wait. Again, with so many mostly one man shows, be patient and kind. It is a real chore to find and remove and wrap and send parts and collect payment etc., and so many of us need what he alone has any more.

Last year I bid on a 300 Hurst that was wrecked, being sold by Coparts. When Murray found out that I had been the winning bidder, he emailed me and said he was going to bid on it as well, but wasn't able to because of some other event that distracted him at the last minute. It turned out to be a total of course, a real hard right side frontal offset hit, but I was able to save the driveline and interior and other parts to use in mine (it was actually a really nice car that got in a wreck just after a Chrysler 300 club car show - the eldely couple in the car survived the wreck with only some brusies and beat up a little, but drove home from Oklahoma to Michigan in a rental car a couple days later - amazing when you see the car). I was surprised that Murray would consider buying it given how many he already has. Like I said earlier, he makes me feel good by comparison.

Thank you for this post. Somehow I imagined that he was an older gent. Looks like I've got a few years on him. I thought he had a lot of inventory but no idea how much. It's a reminder that I need to few parts from him.

I talked to Murray quite a few years ago about door panels for my 78 NYB. He knew he had them and knew the condition of them on the fly without going to look for them. I surprised at the amount of Formal's he has!

He has kid(s) with him at our winter swap meet in Mt Clemens and the whole family at the Nats. I think it's very much a family affair.

And a indigo fury convertible....?

I am the lucky guy who got the tour and I took the pictures.
To answer your question - it's plumcrazy! He told me it should be the only Fury (or just the only '70 Fury?) ever built in this color. I got so much information this day ;-)

Murray was really great. Picked us up at our hotel and made a 3 1/2 hours tour! We stopped it, because we had to be in Cleveland in the afternoon. Think he had spend even more time with us. He was pretty organized, knew the history of most cars and where he got them from.

I must say this was really the top of our vacation so far. But I can't imagine anything will boost it within our last two days.

Odd. There was a Discussion about a purple 70 fury the other day. Not Plum Crazy though.

Wow!! Those cars!! Man does he have the market cornered!! Thanks for taking the time to post Juliane ! And thanks for taking the pictures Hank!! Ill have to paw those a few times!!
