1971 Polara 2 door Hardtop.

Just took it around the block. I am in love. Finally. Ever since I was little I've wanted to drive a 71 Polara 2 door Hardtop. Mission accomplished.

Was looking up Polara for sale and came across your car on a consignment site.

Do you have all the missing bits for the gold car? They are a fine looking pair.
I have been collecting all the bits I need. I have pretty much everything, The interior was just destroyed from sitting open to the elements in Oregon. It's got a good of patchy rot around the windows and on the floors. Nothing extensive, well, besides the trunk pan disaster of 2016. Not what I originally intended on getting into, but I had to get another one that could keep me sane while I get the Brougham done. Seeing the too together has really made me rethink the FC8 Indigo Poly I was considering on the Brougham, but then again, the Indigo and Turquoise sound like a killer set of 71 Dodges...We'll see. I need more space first.

Sounds like you have a plan. Thanks for sharing. Whatever you do please keep us posted. I for one am addicted to these restoration threads.

I had mentioned something about making the Brougham more like something the guys on Roadkill would build. I'm reconsidering, I suppose it couldn't hurt if I don't hack anything up any worse then what mother nature did. Just not sure I wanna do the work twice.

And that is what happens with projects. You can't wait, you find another , buy that. Before you know it the driver is getting all the love.

2024 made, it is a hard decision

That would only be speculation so I don't wanna guess. Presume roughly 10% and be happy you have something uncommon. ...
The Q5 car can make you forget about the gold one real quick

I constantly think of both cars. The gold car is on hold until I have the space to work on it. It'll never get done in the one car dump of a garage I have. My boss was telling me to find another shop in town for our personal cars. Hoping soon both 71s will be parked indoors before the flurries fly.
