Another project

For me the jury is still out on the large exhaust tip's, but it looks a lot better tucked in more. A customer of mine has one on his 06 Duramax looks to be 7-8" and it's tucked way up and points towards the ground. The only reason you can even see it is because the truck has a 4" lift.

Monaco's truck is looking good.

Those dumb asses with the enormous exhaust tips piss me off. I'm going to take a guess and say that he also has wheels/tires much too wide and the truck is "leaning" backwards. F'n ricer boys.

Love it!! :thumbsup::usflag:

Now you just one of these stickers on the tailgate...

I was waiting for someone to spot my tasteful little bumper sticker for these FL drivers. Its obviously a little too small lmao. Wish I could get it bigger.

Thank you!

Yes, that is mainly what is running around here. I can’t stand the dog dragging its *** look, with the tires 2’ out the sides of the truck.

I like the 3rd gen spare wheels with chrome hubcaps myself.

I hear ya! Its deff big, but not as obnoxious as some of the ones I’ve seen. Looks a ton better up under the truck.

I do like the axle dump exhaust like you mention on a lifted truck.

I like having the ability to be an a$$h&!” back to drivers with the pipe coming out the side. Its pretty convenient the pipe is almost the same height as car drivers window....

What a dick...

Some people deserve a lump, well, a puff, of coal!

A friend of mine has tips on his Harley angled at about 45 degrees. I asked him why and he said so that he can blast people when he goes by. I told him that makes him a dick. He knows:icon_fU:

You are one of them, now. I can't believe it.

Now you can explain the whole culture to me so I have something to think about when it happens to me again. :poke:

Sorry I missed this post Stan. It’s very contagious what can I say lol. We’ll have to sit down with a beer and chat over it next time we get together. Maybe we can get you into one? A 5 speed would be pretty fun!

The fun is starting this weekend. Got a couple other pieces coming in still.

Nothing too serious. Just a cosmetic overhaul.

I did get a couple more interior pieces installed, I got from a good buddy up north. Th OE sunvisors were the fancier kind with both sides having lighted mirrors. New ones only have a normal mirror on the passenege side, but look a ton better.

Got a good little bit done today. Started on the drivers side bedside.

The bottom behind the tire was pretty beat up. Somebody tried to bang it back out, which just mangled it beyond saving. Easier to replace then fix.

Got the new panel welded in, and looking good. A little mud work, never knew I was there.

Test fitted the new tailgate. Has one dent in it from shipping to deal with, but looks good for aftermarket.

Don't you miss the old tent?

Don't you miss the old tent?

Don’t worry, I still got it! I shoulda set it up today....

I worked out in the driveway all day next to the carport. The welder doesn’t get enough juice through the extension cord that runs out to the shop. Can’t forget where I’ve come from lmao.

What a pain. That was a lot of acreage to fill, and sand! But after one final sanding, this panel should be ready for paint.

And for the rest of the acreage? What’s the plan?

Prep a panel at a time when I can, and get the whole thing ready for paint. This panel was one of the “big” repairs it needs. Other is the dent in the cab under the drivers rear window. Rest is mostly sanding, and getting rid of the surface rust.

Going with raptor liner for paint. Cheap, durable, and I’ve been digging the looks. also it is tint-able.

I really like the look of this jeep color. Think its the color Im gonna go with. Although I do still have some paint left over from doing the dually... lol don’t think a metallic would go well with it.

You know that tool you buy for no particular reason, that never gets used. Sometimes you wonder why you bought it. Then the time comes for it, and damn was it worth having lol. Today that was my slide hammer.

Im sure I’ll make some body guys cringe, but I’m not one to argue with results. This panel was bashed in prolly 2.5”. Still a ways to go, but much more manageable now. Weld up the holes, some filler, and good to go.
