Another project

Only on the weekends. And only the good stuff lol

Not bad. Could use a tiny bit more filler. Much better then it was.

Good thing about the raptor liner, is it hides alot itself it seems. We shall see...

You know that tool you buy for no particular reason, that never gets used. Sometimes you wonder why you bought it. Then the time comes for it, and damn was it worth having lol. Today that was my slide hammer.

Im sure I’ll make some body guys cringe, but I’m not one to argue with results. This panel was bashed in prolly 2.5”. Still a ways to go, but much more manageable now. Weld up the holes, some filler, and good to go.

Shoot, I didn’t put that much bondo in it lol but I’m alright with it. Not like its an old C body or something.

I did have a dumbass moment yesterday. Got the doors stripped including the exterior handles. I shut the drivers door with the window up. I looked up and thought “F&@;”!

Thankfully I left the passenger window down! lol

Did find a couple more dings hiding under the surface rust, and paint of the drivers door. Got em taken care of. I dont think the paint on this old mule has ever seen one ounce of “love”. Its just terrible. However I havn’t found any surprises, and seems to be original.

Some glamour shots from today. Should have the front knocked out tomorrow hopefully. That front bumper kicked my ***! What a pain!

It’s only primer, but it is all one color, and looks much better. Time to order some paint! I’ve still got a little work to do to the new tailgate, but that should be real quick.

What do ya know! There is a hood hiding under all that ugly!

What was good for Joe Mannix should be good for you as well. :) The BRG was even flattened to reduce reflection for filming. The only non-metallic green I really like.

I think there's an international law that requires any BRG vehicle to have a white stripe, yes? :p

Not here.... Black accents to keep it stealthy lol.

She is green!!! Got her sprayed this morning. She is darkening up, and getting a little glossier as she drys. I’m pretty tickled how she came out. Have a couple touch up spots, and one more piece to paint when it gets here. But re-assembly will commence soon.

I’m fighting the urge hard not to start bolting stuff on atm lmao

Are you going to do the inside of the bed?
A customer of mine has a Ford Ranger that is painted in red bed liner. It's his winter ride.

Yea, gonna paint it with the same stuff, only black. Plan on painting the tool box black as well.

Stuff sure has seemed to come a long way over the years. Was woried about it fading/discoloring from the sun. But have seen quite a few with years of use, and no problems. Time will tell for sure though. Figure being tinted it’ll save me a little, as the color is its own separate thing.

Its already dry to the touch, and can obviously be handled. But instructions say it takes 7 days to fully cure, and get hard as a rock. I’m gonna put a ceramic coating on it, to try and keep it as clean as I can.

I am kicking around the idea of using it on my snow plow truck, fix the rust and spray on bed liner. I am still on the fence if I should replace the bed or build a flat bed.

I like it. Something that wont scratch like paint, and should be able to take more abuse.

Should work out great for a plow truck!

Prefer the bed myself, but a flat bed might be more handy for a plow truck.

Nice work Zac!

Thanks Bob!

Great colour choice and honestly surprised at how good it looks. You could complete a military look by adding some insignia (probably the wrong shade of green).
