C-Body Car-B-Que

Can’t make it...tried to fix the power window, regulator spring snapped me, 4 stitches!
I burned both of my arms on my radiator on the way here changing a belt that broke on 90.
Look at the temperature gauge.

Cause I am! I was rushing, didn’t research the proper way to diagnose or dismantle the power window unit. Thought “oh, just held on by there by three little bolts”. The look on ones spouse when you walk in with your hand in a bloody rag is priceless..luckily it didn’t hit the tendon

Sorry to hear about your hand. Initially posted « the more the merrier » but I just saw the pic. Ouch — heal soon!

@sixpkrt chose a great location and organized a most excellent BBQ. The food and drinks were great -- very big thanks go to him for all that he put into getting this organized. It is unfortunate that more folks could not make it. Regardless, I had a super time talking to those who made it to West Dundee, including finally saying more than two words to @Xenon and @John Kelly after meeting them briefly at Volo. Thanks again!

Yesterday's first cruise planned by Michel, C bodies at the Lake, was a blast, from start to finish, I am sure anyone on this site would have enjoyed.
I got home around 1:30, and back up at 6am to get ready for today's event.
FYI....When you first pull into the park, you are going to turn to the right, and drive around the red barn to a service road that runs along the golf course.
You will pass 3 shelter houses, and while still on the service road, you will come up on a large parking lot. Our shelter house can not be seen from the road, but you can see it from the lot.
The light rain has stopped and the forecast looks like its going to get better as the day goes on.
I've filled the fridge with some refreshments.
See ya when you get here.

The food choices look great, but... no Guinness????

Guinness was late to arrive, but it did. Some of it even made it back to @Xenon's house, where Wyatt's car got further tuning. I learned some tricks while helping, I hope to put them to use soon.

I brought the Guinness but, unlike @sixpkrt, did not make it till around noon. I also didn’t bring Medina, as her windows need adjusting to be watertight. I take full responsibility for my tardiness and excess of caution. On the plus side, at least I made it :)

I had fun as always. Great group of C body guys here in northern Illinois! Thanks Tim for putting it together!
