It amazes me why someone would take the drivetrain out of a car that is so rare.


Because someone didn't know, blew the engine, pulled as a project and never made it back. As I stated earlier, they were always rare cars and those that had them knew it.
 
for a long time it was just a full size car with a 440 like many others.

I guess someone bought it for the engine (probably for its A-B-E-project).

Till the late 80s not man people could decode fender tags.
And for most folks it was just a Full size car anyway.

Honestly: How many of the FCBO-members can read fender tags out of there head to immidiatly identify a car with rare options/colours etc?

I don't see it that way but you could be right.... why can't it be someone just thrashed the engine?
 
Im pretty good with codes in my years , not all but i m probably better than most.
If I came across a tag with F's on it I'm done

I'm curious which F codes on Fusie's will make you pass?
