Been lurking here a while on the classified section and thought I should post up. Bought my 64 Newport at a yard sale last year and have been slowly tinkering away--not that it needed much. It had a documented 63k on it when I bought it and I just added front disc brakes. I have been driving the hell out of it and get reactions every time I go out. Great site!! 20130623_113212.jpg20140629_120651.jpg

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome to the site Nice car I recently gave one of those to a friend it is blue and has a 361 and is a lot is a lot rougher than yours but it is complete.

I installed the ECI front disc conversion a couple of weeks a go. Pretty strait forward except....there were 2 spindle bolts that were too short and they don't give you the adapters for the master cylinder lines. I plumbed the front with copper/nickel line and used a Matco hydraulic flaring tool for the ends. I still have a bit of pedal travel but the brakes no longer fade on long hills or pull which ever way they want. I had to install 15 in wheels for the conversion.
