So I bought this one today.

Gas tank is all in and hooked up, I even put 5 gallons in it.
While I’m back here I figure it makes sense to take care of as much rust as I can. I have all the rust free replacement metal for the passenger side.

Good to see progress on the Director!
Prioritize!
This car is so close to being on the road, makes sense to git her duuun!

Here’s the doner metal for this side along with more prep work to get it welded in.

Detmatt
what kind of rust reformer did you use . was that a brand new tank or a used tank

Nice work Matt!!! That was a exceptional 1/4 panel off that parts car. Glad to see the pieces put to use.
I agree Ken. I will be using some of the outer wheelhouse on the same side in the future and someone else will be using another section of it on a certain convertible so that piece is going towards saving 2 cars. Now I really need to locate similar for the driver’s side.
@SGT FURY Any chance you have clean skirts and/or a solid trunk lid in this plum color?

I think I have the skirts, but will have to find where I put them?
I have trunk lid but it’s in need of paint and goes n this conv.
I have this passenger fender in that color.
I also have this 67 coupe parts car that I was saving for the conv. Will sell them both as a package. Many extra 67 parts included.

That looks like it might be Ruby or 771, I need Plum which is QQ1.
I am certain it no longer makes sense in today’s world to transport a parts car across the country and that quarter looks damaged in one of the places that I needed to not be. I am interested in plum skirts if you have them.

thank you detmatt i will pick up some rush reformer

Had to give my body a break from rolling around on the floor so I made my carb choice. As much as possible I try to use what I have on my shelves and this carb is the one that was most ready to use. I bought it new many years ago and it served on the 383 in my Challenger vert for years before switching to an Edelbrock when I rebuilt the engine. I remember having some issues with it so on the shelf it went. I dusted it off, disassembled, inspected and cleaned it up before quickly putting it back on the Challenger to run it and make sure that it was ready for use in this break-in situation. It passed with flying colors and I think it will stay on instead of riding a shelf.
