[QUOTE="livininharrow, awesome.. did he light em up?
That is awesome! I wish the best success in this.No worries, he has been undergoing a deep brain stimulation procedure that began with wires into his brain(brain surgery, the kind where they wake you up during) that are connected to control implants in his chest. We're confident that he'll be as good as new by mid winter! Amazing stuff, really!!

Amazing......! I've not heard about that. Sounds wonderful. I hope your dad does well with it.
Late to the game on this thread here Mario. The car is looking great!update...I was able to drive the Newport yesterday!!!
Albeit it was only up and down the block a few times, but I gotta take my opportunities when I can, right?? lol and I left a little patch in front of my house. ok ok, more like a good, loud bark, but who's counting??
and I did not take it any farther than around my block cuz at that point 1) there was no glass in the front or back 2) there was no seat 3) I need to bed the brakes 4) i dont know how much gas is in it....
Soooooo my buddy Craig came by yesterday and put the new vinyl top on and today we put the glass in.
Here is the {semi} finished project. I say semi-finished because it was not real hot yesterday (65* and sunny) and not all of the glue tacked enough-mainly the edges. We re-did a couple of spots today in the morning, but again, not real hot (67* and sunny) so there are still a few spots that need just a bit of fen-angling.
The trim in the back also needs a spot of work and I need to clean the entire top, but all-in-all, I am SUPER happy with the result...

Well I just put the girls to bed for the winter. October's coming and so is the snow up here in the Great White North. I thought it would be interesting for those of us who park our babies for the season to post a highlight picture and a tucked in for winter picture. I'll start with Ruby('66) and Scorch ('70) last day of Summer.....
