Next stop was the Gilmore museum at Hickory Corners near kalamazoo Mich.

This is a world class museum that is worth whatever you have to do to get there and visit.

Moving on........ The third and last vintage trailer event was held at PJ Hoffmaster state park on Lake Michigan near Muskegon Mi. This was by far the nicest park we stayed at and the best vintage trailer show. Around 120 trailers showed up.
We made a lot of new friends and shared some great times.
1st pic is Ellie doing her part to help setup......

We rounded up all the vintage tow vehicles and had an impromptu parade throughout the park. A pot luck supper Friday evening and a catered supper on Saturday.

I have fond memories of the Boblo Boats and the island itself. I always remember looking over the railing down into the engine room.

We also made a stop at the RV/MH, (recreational vehicle/manufactured home), museum in Elkhart In. (bet ya didn't know about that one).
It was very interesting with well thought out displays showing the history of the RV industry. My camera battery went dead, so no pic's.

Thanks for sharing Will!

Makes me want a vintage trailer for the NYB. She can definitely pull one no problem.

No doubt Bob. Our big C body's are bred to pull these old campers. Overnight site fees range from under $10.00 at a COE campground to around $35.00 for a full hookup site at a KOA. Factor in the reduced fuel mileage and your still way under a decent motel room. And camping like this is WAY more fun then a motel.

Wow! You guys sure know how to have fun! Iv got the 72 T+C we use to pull our new Sun Light Ive got my eye on a Spartain that's been beeched since 1952. That's what I want to do when I retire!
