THE RESURRECTION OF SCORCH

Great photo, you and your baby are looking pretty fine! It's amazing own many of our great cbody projects get accelerated for a wedding. I suspect our mates look upon a wedding as an excuse to get all that crap out of the garage and off the driveway!
My congrats to the bride and groom and to your poor wife who has to put up with your car fetish! And I suppose congrats to you for getting it done on time.!!

Thanks Bill! I drove it back yesterday late afternoon from Spruce Meadows. Going there 33C degrees coming home 9C degrees! I have found out that my passenger side vent is stuck open...little chilly but at least MY HEATER works lol

Are talking about the floor vent? Is it cable operated? If so it might be that the adjusting lever is in a slight bind. This happened to me recently.

Its the vent that is cable operated blowing air to the floor yes. Driver side opens and closes but pass side blows like crazy. Seems to come from kick panel vent

That's just a push/pull cable operated flapper door that controls outside air coming in from the cowl vents. On a stinking hot day you just get hot air. Could be the cable binding or more likely the foam seal around the flap edge is damaged so that the door doesn't seal when closed. I think it's just 1/4" thick closed cell foam weatherstripping.

Congratulations on your daughters wedding Graham she sure had a terrific weather day. My daughter had her 2nd Anniversary today and on labor day 2 years ago it poured rain all weekend. This was after spending all summer on the yard for an outdoor wedding that ended up in the tent. My poor wife hasn't been able to look at flowers since.
And on the subject of second anniversaries I see you just had yours on fcbo. Wow 3000+ posts in 2 years. Some of us are feeling just a little inadequate.

I've always liked a downtown venue for a car show. The general public that doesn't normally attend a show gains an appreciation for these rolling works of art. I usually get the most positive feedback on my cars in that type of show. Your car as always looks great and right at home.

That one had over 1200 vehicles registered. It takes up a lot of real estate.

I disagree, though I like them the general public has little appreciation for property that is not theirs.
I've seen to many cars get damaged by strollers and bikes. I'VE seen people sitting on and in cars to take pictures without owners consent . One girl took the gas cap from a 73 challenger from a friends car and almost got my *** kicked for saying something.

Town shows .....I usually avoid

Thanks Bill. I took the kick plate off and closed the door manually. I couldn't see a cable attached so I will be reviewing the FSM for attachment. The car drove great out to High River and Mrs. Doba was quite comfy.

It certainly draws a non-enthusiast crowd. I heard more "That thang got a hemi" than I care to think about. I applaud the people who display their work for the unwashed masses but I don't think I would be as brave as say @Tobias74. Too many idiots in the world. I worried about Scorch the whole time I was wandering about and she wasn't even in the show.

The stroller/punk issues I've run into everywhere including Moparfest. Guess I've been lucky at the downtown shows. I know the level of interest in my cars at the downtown shows around here is remarkable.

First time the Mrs has been and even she was impressed. Downside is now she wants a late 60's BBody

In my book that makes you a lucky guy Graham. I still remember the day Ellie told me she wanted her own Mopar. Had to be a convertible and preferably a C body.
