Nothing to do with mansions, but after a long day of tracking down antique/obsolete big truck parts and yet another big *** socket. It's good to know that a old beer label still is cold and refreshing.

A little Presidential history.....

President Teddy Roosevelt was shot by an assassin. He still made his speech later that day while the bullet was still in him and he was still bleeding.

Hyatt downtown Milwaukee.

Pizza Man, the best place in Milwaukee for pizza! A few blocks from my parents house. Been getting pizza from this place since it opened in 1970. Sadly an arsonist burned the over 100 year old building down in 2010 and got away with it.

Pretty amazing that a relatively small restaurant was grossing a million $$ per year and had a wine inventory of a quarter million $$ in 2010 when the Pizza Man and other adjacent restaurants all burned in the arson fire. That pizza must have been good!

Too bad one of the other restaurant owners got away with the arson because of his failing business.

It was the best pizza. People as far away as Chicago and Maryland would travel just for the pizza.

And the yellow perch fish dinners.

Maybe the favorable growth of the U.S. and the still impressive accomplishments in that now distant past reflected the humility of management that wasn't too proud to allow a group photo of everyone involved, and didn't arrogantly outsource our jobs to other countries or otherwise screw the employees that helped them get or stay where they were in management or political office.

One of my favorite buildings in the world is the Chrysler building in NYC. That building opened today in 1930.
