Hi Guys - I'm a member over on the A and B body sites (I own a 67 GTX and a 71 Duster). I have found a very rare b-body that I'd like to buy but the seller also wants me to buy the project that her husband started but never finished before he passed a few years back. It's a 61 300 G coupe. The car is 100% disassembled, but "seems" to be fairly complete. At least it's all in one building that's heated. The body is rolling on a buck, the engine and trans have been rebuilt, the entire interior has been redone (red leather) and is in storage, it's an AC car, looks to have been a silver car. The body is very straight and rust free, the floors are perfect. I will upload some pics here. I guess I'm trying to find out what it's worth and to see if there are any potential buyers for the car. Like I said I want the other car but the seller wants me to take both - thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Yes, you could get A/C with crossrams.

If that is a legitimate silver car, that is an extremely rare special order color. The data plate (located top of driver's side outer front pillar behind the door under windshield) would indicate special order paint, but not the specific color. Same goes for the interior if that is legitimately a red interior.

As indicated above, contact the Chrysler 300 Club for the best information, but they will ask if you have the VIN and data plate info.

Disassembled cars are a real turn off for me. Some stuff is always missing or damaged as part of the disassembly process and it will nearly always be the type of thing that is very hard to find. A #3 car complete and running is a $20k-$25k item. The rebuilt engine and transmission are a plus and this body does appear solid. That having been said, this car needs a lot of work to even reasonably be roadworthy. In its current state, it probably is a $10k-$12k car. That is my 2 cents worth. Others are always welcome to comment and disagree.

A/C was an available option and not uncommon The ram induction is not in the way of the AC parts.

The red interior and silver paint are likely made up by a previous owner. The data plate ABSOLUTELY tells the interior trim code and paint color, or it could say 999 for special paint.
If you look at the body in the photos you can see white paint in many places, like in the interior floor, back seat area, and under the windshield gasket and where the roof weatherstrip trim was mounted.

Dave castine, post the fender tag(data plate), it’s inside the drivers door jamb below the windshield.

Without a complete inventory of parts on hand and what's missing and condition, I'm going with a ballpark of what Dave said by maybe a couple thousand on either side. Obviously the motor & trans look like their ready to rock so that's a nicety. Good Luck

It's a Chrysler, why wouldn't it, even as a option?

See: www.tpocr.com/chrybp1.html if this site is correct, (?) It appears both the silver color and the red interior were at least possible.

My friend Gabe in Toronto for years had a 61 300G with cross rams and AC. What you couldn't get with cross rams was Autopilot I believe... that interfered with the driver's side ram and carb setup.

    Nice score for someone.

If you have the ability to do the work yourself and deal on it (20k max.). If you have to pay someone to complete it forget it. I know of one that was sold a couple years ago. He started at 80k but I don't know what was the final price.

For sale page, see how many have factory AC. Plenty of them!

Look at this eBay car, painted, chrome done, interior new. And no bids yet.

Take it from someone who is in the home stretch of restoring a 300G, all letter cars are a money pit. Every little thing ends up costing you an arm and a leg. The parts are the biggest thing. Most parts are unique on a letter car so they are $$$ to buy if you have to find them. The interiors are being made again but the new company making them has marked up the prices from what Gary Goers used to charge. Seems like everyone who owns a G is dying and their cars are coming on the market. Prices seem to be lower everytime I see one on sale. I joke with some of my muscle car buddies that I'm waiting for them to die off so I can buy their Hemi cars for cheap. This is currently happening in the Letter car market.
The colors available on a G are White, Red, Black, and Cinnamon. You could special order any other color but it wasn't "standard". Tallzag owns a light Blue 300G which is a 999 car.

I can't find any pics of the car prior to now. Based on what you guys are telling me, one option may be to part it out. I'm in agreement that the number to purchase the whole package would be in the 8k range.
