White walls on road wheels: Wide or Narrow

My vote goes for a bit wider WSWs on tires, something about 1.5-2`` but that`s just me.

Arrived here from a thread I posted, this is what 2-1/2" & 2-7/8" look like (I think the latter are on the rear - haven't measured yet)

these are 1.6 " wider whitewalls on my 78 salon which were part of the salon package.
chrysler listed them as www for wider whitewall. you could order them on other 78 c bodies.

and i have them on my 77 cordoba t-top ( mounted on 80s cordoba aluminum wheels)

I know that member 73_coupe`s car is a bit old to this thread, but I like the look of his 73 NYB on its 1.5(or 2)`` WSW tires measuring 235-75R15.

Marko:
Your Salon has a lot of character because of red vinyl on silver paint.

I`ve convinced myself about getting wider WS tires at the time, when I need to replace rubber under Impster.

I Like the 1.5 Whitewalls. NOT from Suretrac (China) or Hankook (Korea). So that Limits the choices. I just can't put Asian tires on a Heavy car. Quality control issues. Just sayin'

FWIW. My 16 Charger weighs more than the Monaco. Who knows where those crappy factory Firestones were made but the Toyos are far better tires.

I think I'll be going 1.5 inch WWW on my 68. I bought it with old Good Year Power Cushion WWW bias plys on it and I like the look.
