    Door glass

If anyone here who is planning on being at Carlisle and has a tint pass side door glass for a 69 Fury 4 door or wagon, bring it. I'll take it. Still looking for a pass side rear 1/4 upper side glass molding too. It's the looooong painted one just below the drip rail.

    The Admiral is back......

The last of the trim cleaned and installed, some minor detailing, an oil change and a good bath. I'm pretty happy with the results, Not a show car but a very respectable driver and tow car, which is what I set out for. I hope to have him cut & buffed after our Michigan trip and before Carlisle...

    The Admirals new stance

The new spring package on the Admiral holds the trailer weight just fine now. With the new adjustable hitch everything is setting level and the stabilizer should improve handling. I may go back and remove one leaf from the stack up because the ride is a little rough and He sits a little to high...

    The Admiral's getting paint.

I dropped the Admiral off at the paint shop this morning. It will be done in sections. I stripped all the trim and moldings from the belt line up, removed the air dam and all tail gate trim. The entire top and tail gate will be prepped and painted, (original A4), while I buff and polish the...

Prepping the Admiral for tow duty

I installed a new set of overload rear shocks today, Monroe sense-trac's. They added a half inch to the rear ride height. Also the obligatory full width rear splash guard. The shocks were easy, splash guard was a PITA to install.

    Admirals tow mirrors

I installed the tow mirrors on the Admiral today. In anticipation of the road trip to the Mopars at Garlits show in Florida next month. I'm glad I did this before the car was painted. They were somewhat of a challenge to get right, some cussing was involved. I think I'll also install a satellite...

    trailer hitch

I was amazed when the hitch I made for Jazebelle, (69 300 vert), last year, to pull the pop up, bolted directly up to the Admiral, (69 Fury Suburban wagon). I think it even fits the Admiral better....... :yaayy:

When I got the Admiral, (69 Fury Custom Suburban), the 2 speed wipers worked but would not park. I removed the cowl screen to investigate and found these parts in the well under the wiper arm. The Admirals new carpet......

I spent the last couple of days installing the new carper into the Admiral. A layer of sound deadening first, I am happy with the way the carpet fit but it's still a job getting everything located correctly,..... The interior's coming together pretty nicely. I've already removed all of the...

    The Admirals new shoe look.

I've been working on the Admiral a little. I got the tires turned right side out and installed the correct "deluxe" wheel covers. Also dropped off the rear seat cushion at the trimmers, He may be able to replace just the damaged inserts into the original seat. A rechromed rear bumper is on the...

    2 way tailgate, 1969

A question for anyone who has a wagon with a two way tailgate. Is there a knob, Plastic or otherwise, that fits over the two way release lever....? If so mine is missing and although the mech works fine it's a little hard on the fingers. The parts book doesn't list a separate knob. Thanks Will.
