Looking for the horn relay - 60 Plymouth.

Anyone know roughly where it is (besides just under the dash!) I crawled up under there and even swept through with a camera but can’t see anything that looks like a relay.

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

The car is finally done, so I call it ‘new’. Took 5 months to rebuild the rear end (thanks for all the help folks). Everything is new and/or rebuilt but the body (leaving it as found from original owner..... thinking it needs new wheels. Slotted Anson rims? Cragars? What would an old Plymouth have?

Looking for rear end parts for 1960 Plymouth

Thought since the whole entire car was rebuilt, the only thing left was the rear end. All the seals were leaking a little so I thought ‘what the heck, let’s rebuild’. That was 4 months ago. Shop said the first round of parts I ordered didn’t fit. Bearing specifically. I got the spec’d rebuild...

What is the secret to finding wiper blades for a ‘60 Plymouth?

It appears to have the original Anco wiper arms and blades. Nothing readily available seems to attach. I have tripped over some NOS parts for other years, but no luck on anything that looks close. What else have you done to replace your blades?

Anyone take a 60 Fury dash apart?

I’m trying to fix the dash lights of which 0 are working. It was a nightmare to replace the headlight switch and even trying to find all the lights from below will be near impossible. Anyone have any ideas on taking pieces off to get in behind? I’m guessing the main slice is bad but can see...

    Whiskey Dents is back!

got the motor and tranny back in this spring after their rebuilds and it has fought me ever since. Ran fine at the start. But over time it got undriveable and super noisy. Turns out 9 of 16 rocker arm adjusters didn’t like the new pushrods and wore down to the nib. By the time we got that...

    Ready for prime time.

Just a month shy of 2 years since I found her, she is back on the road. Thanks for all the help folks. It got a full driveline resto. Rebuilt everything. Runs and stops like new now. Polished what was left of the paint. Going to live with the fairly new but mismatched interior. I’m going...

Thanks to ALL that helped... car is done!

Thanks to all who helped along getting this done. Took it on its maiden voyage Saturday after installing a near flawless online exhaust from Waldron’s. I didn’t think I would get this done before late March. It stumbled a little - I didn’t spend much time tuning the choke - but I will get it...

What does it cost to rebuild a 318 poly?

trick question! Just got mine back so I know! Parts were 1900. Labor 2250. No idea if it works yet but it was done by a local legend who does a lot of race motors at the local dirt track.

    How far would you go?

Motor and tranny out for rebuild. Body is solid. Paint is thin but no rust. 1 owner about 100k miles. I am cleaning up the engine bay.... do is stop there? Just clean? I was going to get it mechanically sound, replace most of the interior (door cards, headliner, seats like new) and maybe the...

I need a new motor for my 60 fury

318 poly. I'm either rebuilding or buying. Found this on fleabay. Not rebuilt but cleaned up while 'running strong' but never put back in car. Is this a good idea? Price look all right? A rebuild would have to be 3500-4000k anyway. MOPAR 318 Poly Engine COMPLETE - Polysphere A-Body Demon...

Just my luck. Three days in and.....

Busted exhaust spring. 3 trips and about 50 miles on my 60 Fury. Couldn't have predicted it. What would you do? I could attempt a head-on repair, but couldn't get the valve to pop out with air. Might not work. I could pull the head and replace a spring. A lot of work. But at 57 and...

Towing help with a barn find....

.... found a 61 Phoenix. Rolling. Starting (off a gas can). Tires all flat. Sitting 35 years. Should I just winch it up on my trailer? I have an open 20' tilt with a harbor freight 12,000 lbs winch just never had to use it! I had it for bringing the race car back if blew a motor, not for...

Buying tips on a 1960 Fury?

I am looking at buying one. Anything I should watch out for? Aside from the usual stuff like rust under the truck carpet and blowing smoke! I know about the water sitting in the front of the fenders behind the headlights on those cars and I know to look for all the impossible-to-find trim...
