I think there are a few musicians here that may be able to help me establish a value on a 1974 Garcia acoustical guitar. Label shot shows all the info I have. Says grade no.2, Feb 1974.
I am not a guitar player. It's from an estate and shows very light use. It has a strong sound and resonates very well. There is one small knick on the bottom. (see pic), Otherwise very nice.
I'd like to sell but don't know where to start. Not much info on the internet.

    Thanks
    Will.

I, too, cannot find any info on the brand leading me to believe this is probably a budget minded entry level guitar imported under this brand name. Your best bet may be taking it to a guitar store, preferably a mom and pop but credible place, or Guitar Center et al to for more details.

Looking at the label, it sure doesn't look budget.
    But what do I know?

I have two friends on Facebook who know guitars. One sold them for years and still has close to 80. The other has been playing all his life and is quite knowledgeable.

The first: Michael Bybee. I've known him since Elementary School.

The second: George Fenley. He was my Music Minister at Aldersgate Church. Great guitar player!

Both are excellent musicians and can give you an idea of what they might be worth. If you look them up on FB, tell them Scott Allred suggested you do so.

Here's a link to Sherry Brenner Facebook, Sherry-Brener Ltd. , but it looks like James Sherry passed last year. There's a phone number though. Might be worth a call. His website is gone though, so the business might be done. www.guitarsofspain.com

The original receipt is in the case and shows $200.00 plus $50.00 for the case, in 1974

Actually it says, "assembled" in Japan. Looks like some hi end materials were used.

I don't do "facebook", but thanks.

Over here (Netherlands) it would go for 200-250.

I'm not familiar with this brand but it appears to be a beautifully made guitar. Interesting and somewhat unusual choice of woods.
