Can you post a picture of the fender tag and the radio???:poke::lol:

That,s not a pace car…...
The pace cars interiors were blue and sport fury,s , not plymouth III

Not a pace car but white over white with gold interior, buckets, a BB and a tach, I'd be as proud as a pig in **** to own that car.

Theres 1 for sale in wash. state with a vin of P45222857. Mine is P45223089. Thats only 232 diff, and 1900 were made. Its also possible not all were blue interior with a blue top. It also has the sport fury logo on the trunk, along with an auto shifter that has a hurst logo and INDY going vertical. Ive been researching for a couple weeks, and Ive seen where some of the pace cars didnt even get the indy decals. Theres several weird things with this car, im just looking for info.

Theres 1 on Mecum Auctions with white exterior and red interior. Look up Kurt Carlson collection, it was at INDY Mecum in 2010.

Is there a list of pace car vin numbers? Is that in the Chrysler archives if such a thing exists? I may have one of the dealer replicas. Sport Fury vert with 383 4 bbl White with blue interior. Is there any definitive way to confirm? Thanks Retroman.

Supposedly the Pace Cars that the dealers got had the blue interiors, and the cars that were used at the race had the red interiors.
The automatic shifter in the Pace Cars were the regular shifter just like every other '65 C-body with a console shifter, and they didn't have any writing on them.
Keep in mind that these cars are over 50 years old, and a LOT of stuff on them could have been changed/added.
