Looks like a pretty decent driver, listed in St. Louis
“318, great driver. I drove it 60 miles today. Drivers side is good, passenger side has rust. Suspension is easily raised and lowered with torsion bar suspension. Don't see too many of these on the road. Good looking front end in my opinion. I have the rear window trim, but there is rust there if you look at the pictures. Interior is ruff, dash is cracked, headliner sags, and seats need recovered. Floors are solid. Has the broadcast sheet, spare tire, jack, poverty caps. Original paint and I don't see any touch ups at all. Original radiator. Factory A/C car, but it is missing the compressor. This is a running driving project. If it were a Road Runner, Charger or any other mopar in this condition it would be 15k. Its not though, even though I will argue there are less of these '69s in existence than Cudas or Challengers. Clean and Clear Missouri title in my name. Located in Oakville, which is the southern most part of South County.”

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a decent car for the money. Who ran over the air filter housing...lol

RR or Charger? heh I see rusted shell's for 15k...

Actually I take that back, I did see a California 1970 383 Road Runner with a fairly straight paint job but only had 20 foot pics (2) and little info for 13k(?), clone or not? whatever...

Prime candidate. I'd have a hard time deciding what to do. I would probably do the rust repair and attempt a color match. If it was good I'd go straight to driver status for probably several years.
I'd rather do mechanical work and big block it, rather than surrender the original paint.

Later model of the 'teen...not original to the car
Which may explain why the original compressor for the factory air is missing.
(Will not fit later engines)
EGR valve and vacuum port tee on the intake.
The car is a bit of an oddball and the fender tag would be nice.
2 speed wipers, manual drum brakes but has power steering and factory air?

Factor in the US/Canadian exchange,I think Maggie and I got a better car for a little more money.

Somebody may have done a swap when the nylon teeth on the cam gear left the scene. My Coronet is a manual drum power steering a.c. car.

I think the intent of the 318 in a c body is so you have a way to drive the car to the site of the big block swap.Or that my interperitation But I do like a 318.

It's optioning is par for a 69.

As of today I've had 2 coupes, 2-4 doors, 3 convertibles, all 69 Fury's.

They average out as such;
318-6 of 7
Power steering-6 of 7
Manual drums- 2 of 7
Power drums- 4 of 7
Disc brakes-1 of 7
2 speed wipers- 1 of 7.

So the power steering is normal for it to have, the manual drums aren't really un common. The A/C was obviously more of a popular option stateside then my Canuck cars (I won't mention how many of mine have had rear defrost...).

My 2 cents worth

I remember (and old timers can chime in) that the drum brakes were more desirable for the drag race crowd because of less drag or lighter weight IIRC.

What was the last year that you could get front drum brakes?
I guess 72. Since 73 is the year people seek for brakes.

Believe it was mid year 71 or early 72 disc brakes became standard equipment, along with electronic ignition

That engine is correct for a 69.
I highlighted what is not correct for 1969 318..EGR valve and vacuum port Tee
Either the intake or entire motor was changed out at some point.
Checking the numbers on the block will settle this mystery,LOL
